Filament Dying


This course outlines the historical background and theory of color, color measurement, laboratory deying, dyestuff types, basic recipes for nylon and polyester, machine design and options together with various types of drying. A section is included on the high light fastness requirements of yarns for automotive enduse.
Also included is a section on the muff dyeing of false twisted textured nylon. A small section deals with steam generation and water softening as well as with testing and troubleshooting. Video sequences are shown in certain sections to illustrate the subject.

The course is designed to be of practical assistance to Managers, Supervisors and Students.
The intention was to write the material in such a way that the reader could apply the knowledge immediately
